Terms of Service
The short version: use Perivio legally, your images are yours, billing is transparent, and we never hold your cameras hostage. The details:

What Perivio is
Perivio (operated by ShillehTek LLC) provides motion-activated cameras and a cloud dashboard for viewing the photos they capture. These terms apply to the dashboard at periv.io, our APIs, and Perivio hardware.

Your account
You need an account to use the dashboard. Keep your credentials private — you are responsible for activity under your account. One account can manage multiple cameras and properties within its organization.

Plans, trials & billing
Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Trials convert to paid automatically at the end of the trial period unless canceled first. If you cancel or a payment fails, your account downgrades to the free tier — your cameras keep working and nothing is deleted beyond the free tier's retention window. Plan limits (cameras, images, retention) are described at checkout and in the dashboard.

Your images
Photos captured by your cameras belong to you. We store and process them only to provide the service — we do not sell them or use them for advertising. Images are retained according to your plan's retention period and can be deleted by you at any time. Deleting an image removes both the file and its records.

Lawful use of cameras
You are responsible for installing and using cameras legally: obtain any required consent, respect the privacy of others, and comply with the surveillance and recording laws that apply where your cameras are placed. Do not point cameras where people have a reasonable expectation of privacy. Perivio may not be used for unlawful surveillance of any kind.

Acceptable use
Don't abuse the service: no attempts to breach security, disrupt other customers, reverse-engineer our systems beyond what the law permits, or resell the service without our written agreement.

Service status
Perivio is provided as is, currently in an early-access phase. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service, and connectivity depends on factors outside our control (your network, cellular coverage, power). Perivio is not a life-safety system and must not be relied on as your only security or emergency mechanism.

Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShillehTek LLC's total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for losses arising from events the cameras did or did not capture.

Ending things
You can cancel anytime from the dashboard; your data remains available under the free tier until you delete it or your account. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.
